Vote Like Your Rights Depend On It!

 

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6, 2018.  Polls open at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm

In-Person absentee voting (early voting) begins Monday, October 8, 2018 from 8:30 am – 5:oo pm at County Square.

There is still time to  make a difference.  Sign up to register new voters.  Sign up to drive folks to polls.

September is the last full month to register new voters.  COVE has many registration events listed.  If you have not signed up yet, please do so today. We need your help.

In order to vote in the November 6, 2018 mid-term election, you must turn in your paper registration by October 5 at 5:00 PM. There are some exceptions but for the most part, the earlier you register, the better.

National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) takes place throughout the country on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.  COVE has events scheduled at Furman University and Greenville Tech’s main campus.  Even if the slots are filled, please join us anyway.  The larger the crowd, the larger the enthusiasm.  COVE will list other events taking place in Greenville County on that date as they become available.

Some organizations are working in communities to register new voters and to get out the vote.  GIDEON will begin registration canvassing in the Nicholtown area on Saturdays through September.  Sign Up!  Help Out! Show Up!

Vision 25 is holding a family friendly event at Mt. Pleasant Community Center to kick off their Get Out the Vote drive on September 15.  Free hot dogs, music, fun!  Support Vision 25.  Show Up!  Help Out!

Many other events are up on the website waiting for you to sign up.  There are also a few training sessions left.  Tell your neighbors!  Spread the word!

Now is the time to make a difference!  If you want to see voter turn out increase in Greenville County, now is the time.

A Few Things to Remember:

Must show photo ID before voting.  COVE suggests you take your voter registration card with you.  Although the card is not required, it will help the Poll Workers resolve any issues should they arise.

Felons who have completely finished their sentence may vote.  If there is a question concerning the registration for any individual who has completed serving their term, direct them to County Parole and Pardon Services  located in office #6500 in County Square Office Building.
